The candidate must have excellent understanding of the telecommunications industry (new site build, antenna systems, in build solutions, rooftops, and towers).

General Responsibilities:

• oversee all aspects of the assigned projects to insure quality, profitability, and client’s satisfaction
• End-to-end accountability of project delivery
• deliver projects as per client’s specifications and with respect to prescribed delays
• assure and maintain client’s satisfaction/relationships
• develop new business opportunities
• attend bid walks
• provide/participate in RFP, RFQ and RFI as per client’s requirements

Skills and Qualification

• Strong relationship and organizational skills
• Good capability of working under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering and construction drawings
• Solid experience in the wireless cellular telecommunication industry
• Strong leadership, team spirit and sense of responsibility
• Valid driver’s license
• Bilingual would be an asset

The tower climber will be working outside of the immediate area on a regular basis. Most of our sites are in Ontario and Quebec within an average distance of 300-400 km from our offices.

Job description

Under the supervision of the crew chief, the rigger is responsible for the installation of telecommunications equipment for cellular networks and all related duties. The work is carried out on various types of towers and roof tops.

The rigger:

• Installs, removes, maintains and repairs various antennas and antenna mounts; 
• Runs all transmission lines, 
• Installs connectors, grounding installations, ice guards, lighting systems and other equipment related to telecommunication towers or rooftop structures.
• Ensures the proper use, condition and maintenance of the company’s equipment under their responsibility;
• Sorts the material and ensures that all necessary equipment is on site;
• Carefully complies with the company’s health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience;
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to the installation of telecommunications lines and structure
• Valid driver’s license.

The foreman or forewoman is responsible for the success of their assigned projects and: 

• Oversees, coordinates and plans the work of their riggers, as well as subcontractors or workers on site;
• Ensures the quality and profitability of the work, as well as the completion of the project as scheduled with the project manager;
• Performs all tower and rooftop installations, tower reinforcement, microwave system installations (Ericsson, Ceragon, Dragonwave, Harris, Alcatel, etc.), as well as all antenna and line systems (UMTS, GSM, CDMA, EVDO, etc.), if required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a foreman or forewoman
• Valid driver’s license.
